I did a practice session (basically a surfboard rental + transportation) with Black Dog surfing in Byron Bay on Nov 23 2005.
I had done a lesson with Black Dog a few days earlier, but the waves were too small so they gave me a free board rental on another day. I ended up surfing 4 days this week; unfortunately the waves were never that big and a couple days they were too small to surf at all.
I managed to accomplish my goal for the week, which was to do a headstand while surfing. I tried about 5 times, inhaling tons of water each time, and none of them were very pretty. But I did it! Not bad for my sixth day on a surfboard (four days this week, and a day in each of Hawaii and France years ago)
