• Oct 23-26: visit Sydney+area
• Oct 26: fly Sydney->Cairns (Virgin Blue 389, dep 15:30, arr 18:40)
• Oct 26-29: staying at The Bellview
• Oct 27-31: 5-day learn to dive course with Pro Dive Cairns
  (mental note: watch out for armed dolphins)
• Nov 2-3: two-day diving trip with Down Under Dives
• Nov 4-16: 13-day Reef & Rainforest tour, Cairns->Byron Bay
  • Nov 4: day 1, Daintree
  • Nov 5: day 2, Kuranda
  • Nov 6: day 3, Cairns and reef
  • Nov 7: day 4, Cairns and reef
  • Nov 8: day 5, travel to Whitsundays
  • Nov 9: day 6, Whitsundays
  • Nov 10: day 7, Whitsundays
  • Nov 11: day 8, Whitsundays to Capricorn Caves
  • Nov 12: day 9, Capricorn Caves to Fraser Island
  • Nov 13: day 10, Fraser Island
  • Nov 14: day 11, Fraser Island to Gold Coast
  • Nov 15: day 12, Gold Coast
  • Nov 16: day 13, Byron Bay
• Nov 16-23: surfing in Byron Bay
• Nov 24: flight home

I bought a GPS receiver (Garmin etrex legend) in Vancouver, which I plan to use to geotag some of my photos from this trip. Related: notes from danbri.
