Handhelds and PDA

Recently I have found myself looking for information I had jotted down
and misplaced or just not have access to.  So I started looking at some
handhelds and pdas but know close to nothing about them. Gerald told me
that some of the fogo members use such devices and to ask.

So what are your experiences? recommendations etc...
