On Sep 27 I went mountain biking on Khyber Pass with Beth, Taylor and Ben. Awesome day; what a wicked trail.

Tons of great steep technical stuff, a few short technical ascents, and endless flowy singletrack. The technical and steep stuff was just at the edge of my ability and I rode almost all of it cleanly which felt great. I had a few minor bails and a high speed wipeout on a fire road that had a few deep ruts through it, but no serious injuries.

I think this trail would be pretty fun on a hardtail too; we had to hike a fair bit with our heavy downhill bikes. There was a muddy section that we couldn't ride and wasn't fun to hike but overall it was an excellent day.

All this terrain was amazingly beautiful; I'd like to go back with more time and a better camera. These pictures don't come anywhere close to doing it justice, especially the first few; the view from the peak was stunning.
