google test

by Gerald Oskoboiny

google's URI parser is broken; wonder if hex-escaping @ signs will work? I'm using this link to test my theory: ten years of www-talk!

Update 2001-12-14: this query doesn't find that message in google's index. (update: finds 11 pages as of 2002-01-25, but still not that one.) (oops, that definitely won't work now, because I started banning robots from indexing my www-talk archives in my robots.txt.)

Update 2003-11-07: Strange... Google now indexes URIs ending in '@mit.edu' and '@foo.localdomain' but still not '@impressive.net' etc. Argh.

Update 2006-01-01: Google now seems to index URIs ending in '@impressive.net' as well, woohoo! Good job!
