Visited family and friends in Edmonton.
Had an almost-perfect game of pool (8-ball) tonight: ran the table, 8 balls in a row to win; that's the first time I've done that in at least a couple years. (that's not quite a perfect game by my definition, because I didn't sink anything off the break and had to wait for my next turn.)
W3C advisory committee meeting in Nice, France (useful links: weather, currency conversion)
From Oct 31 to Nov 11 I stayed at the Plaza Hotel Nice, see photos from that part of my trip.
After that, I attended the W3C QA meeting in Brussels on Nov 12-13, stayed at the Hotel Argus, 6, Rue Capitaine Crespel B-1050, +32.2.514.07.70.
On Nov 11 we attended Prof. Gunther von Hagens' Körperwelten exhibit, with plastinated human bodies (cadavers) dissected and arranged variety of poses; kind of freaky but very interesting and educational.
After Brussels I went to Amsterdam for a few days of vacation before heading home.
