I finally bought one, and I am really happy with it (luckily ;) ).
To download pictures, I use the USB port, which is fast enough for me (I
was quite tired of serial port on the olympus ;)
I documented the way to read that form Linux [1], as it is not out-of-the
box (it's almost).
Some samples soon (perhaps not in 2048x1536 ;) ).
