Addendum: Volume Changing

Oops, in my haste to complete the message I forgot.

I binded the key + and - keys on the keypad to my perl script.
So pressing the respective keys will increase or decrease the volume of
the pcm channel on the volume mixer.

I thought I might have problems if I need to use the keys for
mathematical operations, but looks like key bindings for the shift +/=
and -/_ will give me the + and - without problems.  Can anyone see a
problem?
