I use
http://www.excell.to/ (free) and am really happy with them.
(that's what I used to send you a message the other day on my way
to Brussels)
Basically, I send an SMS message like "ema me blah blah" to their
phone number in Italy, and 'me' is an alias I set up on their
server that expands to
[email protected]. Or you can use
full email addresses instead of aliases.
With my provider, SMS messages seem to be free to anywhere in the
world, even while roaming in Europe (up to 100 msgs/month, after
that they're $.10 cad each)
