(this might not be very interesting to most people, I'm just
making a note of it for later.)
I noticed some little icons next to the links on this page:
http://dsv.su.se/jpalme/society/swedish-internet-law.html
with "Rating" as the ALT text.
These point to this web page rating service:

There isn't much info about how it works. I can't even tell if
SELECT is something developed at sztaki.hu, or just something
they installed.
Hmm... searching Google for "SELECT rating services":
http://www.google.com/search?q=SELECT+rating+services
points to this interesting article on various rating services
(back on Jacob Palme's site):
http://www.dsv.su.se/jpalme/select/rating-choices.html
] Abstract
]
] Collaborative filtering systems are software systems to help
] Internet users find the most valuable and interesting
] information, aided by other people's ratings. Some collaborative
] filtering systems will even tailor the filtering to your
] particular needs, interests, competence and values, by using
] rating values produced by other people with similar views as
] yours. This paper gives a short overview of existing such tools
] with links to further information, and then discusses some issues
] in their design and presents an architecture for a rating and
] filtering system. This architecture is defined such that modules
] implemented by different people at different places can
] interwork.
with a link at the top to a paper on the Select project:

Rating and filtering of scientific, technical and other network documents
A research project funded by the European Union, Telematics project
Lots of interesting reading in those last two URIs, but not for
tonight...
