I started signing up for an account with Wit Capital a few weeks
ago, and didn't finish the process but have been getting spam
from them with info on IPOs and research alerts they offer to
their customers.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the attached message when I
arrived home from new york last night, offering a chance to get
in on this week's Palm IPO.
But the web site says:

so I guess I'm too late already. :(
(even if I wasn't away and had the account set up already, who
gets up before noon on Saturdays!?)
I'm assuming that anything received after noon on Feb 26 will have
zero probability of getting assigned any shares due to high demand.
