29/02/2004: Clive and Tristen went ice climbing for the day on the north face of pitchoff mountain. Had to use the pathfinder in 4x4 to drive the old miltary access road for a few miles to the trailhead. From there we hiked for about 30mins to the start of the climbs. First climb was a easy 2 pitch grade 3ish climbing...followed by the central pillar (NE 4). Great day of climbing...and delicous pints of beer in the pub afterwards!
