Whoa, long time no write! People keep bugging me to update my site, but as I wrote on the about this weblog page, I don’t plan to write much here until I really start travelling. Besides, all the best stories are better told in person :)
This morning I got a wakeup call from PowderFone at 7:18am letting me know that 23cm of snow arrived overnight, woohoo!
My apartment hunting was initially a bit depressing: I was intent on finding something within a short walk of the village, and my choice seemed to be either something like $600 for a twin bed in a small room shared with two other people (a couple apartments I looked at were shared 7 ways, 13 ways, …), or $1200-1400+ for a studio apartment, some unfurnished.
Finally, I found a place in Whistler Cay that had my name all over it: massive kitchen with a gas stove, two dishwashers and about 3 fridges, a fireplace, home theatre room with leather couches and a 4′ wide screen, wireless internet, plants, decks, a big trampoline in the back yard…
Finally, after a packing and moving ordeal that I thought would never end, I made it to Whistler BC, my home for the next while.
