On the May long weekend of 2006 I went on an awesome road trip to Tofino on Vancouver Island with 5 of my housemates and another dozen or so friends-of-friends. Super fun trip, non-stop laughs.
We camped at a free site on Kennedy Lake and did day trips to Tofino, Ucluelet and nearby beaches. I didn't surf because I was too cold from the previous night spent in an ancient sleeping bag with no mat underneath, but I was quite happy to huck a disc around on the beach instead.
