The other day I added the 10000th pic to my site:

   $ find /cvsroot/www/people/gerald/ -name "??-??-??.jpg,v" | wc -l
     10075

I wonder how many of those are actually worth looking at :)

Only about an eighth of them have titles/descriptions etc:

   $ find /cvsroot/www/people/gerald/ -name "??-??-??.rdf,v" | wc -l
      1584

I'd like to make a search engine, but I need to add access control
data to the RDF first. I also want to add some kind of quality rating
to each picture. (probably will make it a number from 1-10)

Top locations of photos that have been labelled so far:

   $ locate rdf | egrep \\.rdf$ | xargs egrep -h dc:coverage | \
       sed 's/<[^>]*>//g' | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn | head -20

   225   Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
   144   Nice, France
   131   Rome, Italy
   124   Thomson House, Montreal, Canada
    92   Montreal, Canada
    81   Domaine des Courmettes, Tourrettes sur Loup, France
    71   Bon Echo Park, Ontario, Canada
    64   Thomson House, McGill University, Montreal, Canada
    57   Florence, Italy
    55   Gatineau Park, Quebec, Canada
    54   Venice, Italy
    54   Pompeii, Italy
    50   San Gimignano, Italy
    50   Ottawa, Canada
    49   Barrymore's, Ottawa, Canada
    44   Capri, Italy
    41   Parc Floral Phoenix, Nice, France
    37   Sorrento, Italy
    32   Montepulciano, Italy
    26   Vatican City, Vatican

Would be cool to let others rank your photos even though they may have
differing opinions (you could tie in access control there too).  Maybe
even make it a count of votes for a photo and have a page of top N
ranked photos.
