Hey kids!

Amsterdam rules! It sure would be fun to live here for a while.

Here are the photos I've taken so far:

I haven't done any quality control yet, because my laptop display
sucks and I can't tell which ones are the best quality. (usually
I remove the ones that are lame or redundant.)

There aren't any for the last couple days because my second set
of rechargeable batteries died much sooner than expected, and I
didn't have an extra set handy. (too bad -- I missed lots of cool
photo ops in the meantime.)

I've been hunting around for a cell phone that I can rent or buy
that will allow roaming throughout Europe, but haven't found one
yet. Nobody will let me sign up for a plan that allows roaming
unless I have a local bank account and residence. What a $#%&
pain -- can't they just take out a massive deposit on my credit
card and keep it if I do something nasty with the phone?

There are expensive rentals at the airport (~$500 USD/month plus
usage), but I don't know if they allow roaming.

Maybe I'll try to open a bank account here tomorrow using Chaals'
rented apartment for the address.
